Jeremy Benson tells lies, writes stories, and invents objects that already exist.
Jeremy has profiled entrepreneurs, sculptors, novelists, taxidermists, brewers, musicians, and carvers as a freelance writer, contributing frequently to Great Lakes Bay Regional Lifestyle Magazine, and as Editor-in-chief of 360MainStreet.com. His book reviews have been found in H_NGM_N, the Collagist, the Brooklyn Rail, and at Newpages.com, where he also served as Editor of Literary Magazine Reviews. Jeremy’s poems and short stories have found homes in Spittoon, Dead Flowers, and Inner Art Journal; others have been distributed as collections of poetry and art designed around a single theme.
Jeremy endeavors to cultivate a rich community of writers, readers, and artists, whether as a participant, patron, or planner. He has emceed open mics, curated readings, hosted craft-ins, and led workshops. He is an organizer of the Broken Nose Collective, an annual exchange of hand-made chapbooks.
Jeremy Benson lives in Napa, where he farms organic vegetables.
