Emily Freiman is a retired Art Therapist, past AANV- Art Association Napa Valley-President, AANV newsletter editor, past NVW- Napa Valley Writers- board member, active published writer, past writing/artmaking course facilitator, and active visual artist, creating fine and applied arts. Her mediums are silk, oil, acrylic, and watercolor. She enjoys hand painting sillk scarves and other applied arts items as well as representational and abstract canvas works. One of Emily’s paintings embellishes the NVW “De Vine Write” newsletter online, and two poems are published in NVW’s Anthology titled “Third Harvest”. You can find Emily creating ekphrastic works of art and writing, under the guidance of poet laureate Marianne Lyons. She plans to publish a volume of poetry illustrated with her artwork, as well as an illustrated workbook for facilitators, based on her “Invite the Muse” writing/artmaking course.
