Emily Ann Mosey Freiman

Emily Ann Mosey Freiman

I’ve been interested in creating art, which is surely a subjective version of the world as I see it-since a child, and have practiced it my entire life in various forms: Chinese brush painting, mural work, and surface textile design. I received a well-rounded classical training at Paier College of Art during the early ’70s, majoring in illustration. Mediums include acrylic, oil, watercolor, ink on paper, silk, and pastels. I earned an MA in Art Therapy in 1994. Following an intense career as Art Therapist and instructor/teacher for 16 years at several institutions, I retired in 2009, joined AANV in 2010; I have served as a board member since 2014.I am presently serving as board Member at Large,= for Napa Valley Writers. I began a writing-with artmaking-course with support from Napa Valley Writers and the Art Association-called “Invite the Muse Writing Course”, from March 2017 through 2019-which used narrative writing, poetry, and art-making as modalities to pique creativity. The course was partially granted through the Arts Council Napa for 2019 (Thanks, ACNV!). My Art site: http://emilyanndesigns.blogspot.com/. Artwork titles: “Orbit” and “Boomerang”; acrylic.
