Napa Valley College prepares students for evolving roles in a diverse, dynamic, and interdependent world.

Jennifer King is a director, actor, teacher and arts leader. Her practice focuses on cultivating a dynamic connection between artists and audiences through a rigorous, collaborative and playful approach to text and storytelling.

Dividing her time between Europe and the US, she has performed, directed and created work in the UK, Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Recent directing projects include Slowgirl (Capital Stage), As You Like It (Shakespeare Napa Valley), The Comedy of Errors (Prague Shakespeare Company) and

Dry Powder (Aurora Theatre Company). As an actor, she is performing in The Belle of Amherst in the Bay Area and abroad.
An arts leader, she has held senior level positions at Sonoma County Repertory Theater (Artistic/Executive Director), California Shakespeare Theater (Director of Artistic Learning), and Dallas Theater Center (Director of Education and Community Outreach).

She is a tenured Professor of Theater Arts at Napa Valley College, where she founded and runs Shakespeare Napa Valley and heads the performing arts department.
