John Hannaford

I have been seriously/professionally involved in both Music and Visual Arts almost all of my life.
In Visual Art I earned a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, and maintain a National Exhibition Record; I have Artwork in numerous Public and Private Collections.
I am a professional Percussionist Percussion; Proficient in playing Djembe, Conga, Dununs, Bongo, Timbal, Snare, Toms, Ngoma, and expanded Hand Percussion. I Love the Textural quality and timbre range of hand drums, as well as the rhythmic dimension they possess. I have studied percussion professionally, developing my craft, while working in bands, playing in Bay Area Venues, and opening up for Headliners.
I am also a Drum and Percussion Facilitator, working with a range of groups, small to large. I create workshops for Intimate settings, as well as larger group and business/corporate entities. I work with beginners, enthusiasts, and professional percussionists.
