Empower yourself to make good financial decisions in 2022! Designed and led by Creative Capital Awardee Amy Smith—a working artist with expertise in bookkeeping, budgeting, tax preparation, and financial management—this workshop is designed to better your money management skills and raise your financial literacy. Smith will provide an overview of essentials including terms, current economic conditions, valuing time, negotiating pay, budgeting, saving/retirement, credit, and debt management. She will also discuss alternative forms of financial management, including systems for resource sharing, collective thinking, and financial self-determination.

This workshop is for artists of all disciplines at any point in their careers who want to learn skills for managing their money. It will be conducted via Zoom webinar and include opportunities for individual reflection and group sharing. All registrants will receive a recording of the workshop and workshop resources.

Live captioning (CART services) are provided for all of our programs. If you require American Sign Language interpretation or have other accessibility needs, please contact us a workshops@creative-capital.org. We will need at least three days in advance to secure these services.
