Figurative art grapples with a notoriously difficult subject: the human figure. Throughout art history and across all cultures, this has remained a subject to which artists have been continually drawn: To portray the human subject in a way that exposes us to the soul of the person whether as a child, adult or aged person, and which allows us to connect with our own humanity.
