Amador County Artists Council is hosting an art show celebrating and honoring Latinx contributions opening September 21st from 8:30am to 4pm at the Amador Senior Center. We invite artists who self-define as Latinx, artist collaborations and allies of Latinx immigrants to submit their work for an exhibition of original paintings, photography, sculptures, mixed media pieces, quilting, poetry, or music compositions. We are looking for 25-30 Latinx artists who can show our community what Latinx heritage, struggles, or contributions means to them. It is an open theme. We hope to create a space for celebration, critical reflection, and visions for a better future!
Worldwide, artists of Latin heritage of all skill levels, all media, and all ages are welcome to submit works of visual, performing, music, multimedia, and literary arts. Pieces must be delivered by September 14th, 2020 to Amador County Arts Council, ready to hang/present, and with no exposed jagged edges or glass.
Artists may include artist bio and statement, maximum 500 characters. Works may be for sale, with a suggested donation to Amador County Arts Council. Artwork, signed gallery form, along with bio & statement must be delivered to the Amador County Arts Council no later than September 14th. No fee to enter show. Questions can be directed to Program Coordinator, Alyssa Vargas at email@example.com. This show is made possible by the Amador County Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the California Arts Council, a state agency.
