Reports to: Director of Marketing

NOTE: This is not a remote position; applicants must be able to be on-site at the Visit Napa Valley office in the city of Napa.

Summary: This position is responsible for supporting Visit Napa Valley marketing programs, helping with partner outreach for press and fam itineraries, supporting event activations, and helping with social media for the organization. The role will also provide administrative support to the marketing team and other related activities as assigned and be expected to develop relationships with Visit Napa Valley partners to become familiar with Napa Valley product and services pertinent to tourism and hospitality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Execute daily social media content and engagement including content execution and brand amplification, working with the Senior Manager of Content
Execute website content updates, as needed
Coordinate and build monthly marketing dashboards and metric reports
Update CRM (Simpleview) with all Marketing touch points including event activations, partner visits, PR, and social & content mentions
Build a marketing calendar of activity, update weekly, and work with the Director of Marketing in keeping all marketing initiatives on schedule
Provide support for Familiarization tours and media/influencer itineraries
Coordinate marketing team partner site visits, track in CRM, and send follow-ups
Schedule department meetings; secure locations; manage invites, minutes, & follow-up; and track in CRM
Support Director on admin needs, including meeting scheduling, board presentations, and follow up
Coordinate event activations with Director of Marketing, partners, and staff
Assist with photo library and usage rights approval
Provide support to Sr Management and marketing team in creation of presentations, content, and brand collateral
Support press kit assembly and gift needs
Manage department brand collateral (“swag”) including orders and inventory management
Execute partner queries for stories and events
Coordinate special projects as needed, and assist as backup when team members are out of the office

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
1-2 years previous experience in marketing, tourism, or related industry
Experience with social media accounts and familiarity with trends in social media and content marketing
Excellent oral, written, and personal communication skills
Proficient computer skills; Mac preferred; Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint
Positive, energetic, enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, team player
Ability to be a self starter, can multitask, is creative and flexible, and meets deadlines

Required Qualifications:

+ for experience with CRM databases (especially Simpleview)
+ for DMO experience
+ for Social Media experience with a travel brand
+ for travel and hospitality experience
+ for InDesign and/or Photoshop experience
