The City of Petaluma (“City”) is seeking qualified applicants to collaborate with park builders for the design of a public artwork-playground structure at Kenilworth Park. This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) outlines the project goals and selection criteria for qualified designers, artists, firms, and creative teams (“Artist”) to apply for the opportunity to work with the City’s contracted Park Designer to design the public art-playground structure, which encompasses the play structure(s), play space(s), and public art elements for Kenilworth Park. This opportunity invites qualified applicants to apply for a $30,000 awarded contract using the City’s Public Art Fund for creative services to design a public art-playground structure proposal for Kenilworth Park in close collaboration with the City’s Park Designer, represent the Public Art Program’s goals and interests in the Kenilworth Revitalization project, and work with various City staff personnel and departments, City Commissions and Committees, and members of the general public throughout the entirety of the contract.
