Join us for a special afternoon reading by Ada Limón, the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States, followed by conversation with Andrea Saenz, di Rosa’s Director of Education & Civic Engagement. The program will be complemented by performances from Napa Valley Youth Symphony.

Ada Limón is the author of six books of poetry, including The Carrying, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award for Poetry. Her book Bright Dead Things was nominated for the National Book Award, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award. Her work has been supported most recently by a Guggenheim Fellowship. She was the host of the critically acclaimed poetry podcast, The Slowdown. She grew up in Sonoma, California and now lives in Lexington, Kentucky where she writes and teaches remotely. Her new book of poetry, The Hurting Kind, is out now from Milkweed Editions. She is the 24th Poet Laureate of the United States.

Napa Valley Youth Symphony is an award-winning youth orchestra, providing the highest level of musical training to young musicians and offering them the opportunity to enrich their community by performing seasonal, full-length concerts. In addition to its youth orchestra program, Napa Valley Youth Symphony also trains entry-level student musicians through string and wind ensembles and provides one-of-a-kind musical experience through tours and special events.
