It was an adventurous journey of roughly 32,000 miles. From San Francisco to New York to Moscow and then onto the Trans-Siberian Railroad, Sasha Paulsen and her travelling companions rode the rails across nine time zones to Siberia. Changing trains they rode south through Mongolia to Beijing. Another transfer took the group across China into the mysterious world of Tibet culminating in Chengdu, China, where, after seeing pandas, they would catch a plane to bring them back to San Francisco.
