Napa Valley Board PICK

Napa Valley Board PICK

Presented by Napa Valley College and Leadership Napa Valley at Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center

Members of the public who reside in Napa County are invited to connect with the executive leadership of more than 25 nonprofit organizations at the 2019 Napa Valley Board PICK on Wednesday, October 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Napa Valley College

Representatives from Napa County and local municipalities will also be in attendance, providing information on how residents can apply to serve on civic commissions and advisory committees.

Now in its third year, Napa Valley Board PICK brings together prospective board candidates and established 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations seeking new board members. Board PICK offers a unique opportunity for Napa Valley community members to demonstrate their Passion, Interest, Commitment, and Knowledge (their PICK) and directly connect with the leadership of different Napa-based nonprofits all in one place.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about local nonprofits and find out if they have what is needed to serve on the board of directors of key community organizations, putting their skills, experience and cultural background to use at the leadership level.

In addition to representatives from Napa County and municipal civic commissions, leaders from the following Napa County nonprofit organizations will be available to meet interested members of the public: Buckelew Programs; California Native Plant Society; CASA, A Voice for Children; Child Start; Collabria Care; Community Resources for Children; COPE Family Center; Friends of the Napa City-County Library; If Given A Chance Foundation; Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch; Moving Forward Towards Independence; Napa Center for Thought & Culture; Napa County Bicycle Coalition; Napa County Resource Conservation District; Napa Farmers Market; Napa Humane; Napa Valley Education Foundation; Napa Valley State Park Association; Napa Valley Support Services; Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition; ParentsCAN; Share the Care; Sing Napa Valley; Teacher Resource Center of the North Bay; Teens Connect; and ZERO Prostate Cancer Run Napa Valley.

This free community event, co-organized by Leadership Napa Valley and Napa Valley College, will take place in the Paul Ash Lobby of the Napa Valley College Performing Art Center, 2277 Napa-Vallejo Highway on the Napa Valley College main campus.
