The Beatles released The White Album in 1968, but never played any of the songs live. By the time the album came out, the band had retired from live performances. Aside from a spontaneous rooftop performance at their studio in London while recording the album ‘Let It Be’, Beatles fans never got to hear them play live.
Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy has painstakingly transcribed and arranged The Beatles White Album “In Its Entirety” for Rhythm Section, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, and Choir. Special guest musicians from the Sacramento area have collaborated for this concert in an effort to support The SPMA Guitar Project and the iHeartMusic.Org Scholarship Fund, which helps to bring music education, and guitar programs to underserved schools.
This is the benefit show, of all benefit shows, reaching out to grab the greater Napa area at the prestigious Lincoln Theater; a sign that the Beatles will live on forever. It’s your chance to witness one of the greatest pages in Beatles history played live; with more than 40 professional musicians taking the stage, the entire White Album will unfold before you from start to finish. This will quite possibly be the rarest musical performance in Napa all year.
