Napa County Reads with Jerry Craft, Author of "New Kid"

Presented by Napa County Office of Education at Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center

Join author Jerry Craft live onstage to hear a discussion about his popular graphic novel New Kid, which tackles topics such as fitting in, friendship, race, class, family dynamics, and bullying.

At 5:30 p.m. the author’s reception in the lobby will include book signing with the author, nibbles with a fun take on classic cafeteria food, and student art displays inspired by the book.

Kirkus Reviews called New Kid, “An engrossing, humorous, and vitally important graphic novel that should be required reading in every middle school in America.”
