The Women Spies of World War II: Presented by Jeane Slone

The Women Spies of World War II: Presented by Jeane Slone

Presented by St. Helena Public Library at St. Helena Public Library

Learn about the little-known story of the women from America who took extraordinary steps to serve their country during WWII as “spies” with many sent into German occupied Europe. Jeane describes how individuals coped with wartime separation and new “careers” not normally open to women of that era. There were 127 American women war correspondents who had to fight against gender discrimination to do their jobs.
