A vibrant multidisciplinary installation created by visual artists Christel Dillbohner and Danae Mattes, musician/composer Monica Scott, and writer Sylvia Brownrigg.
Visitors to di Rosa are invited to navigate an extensive sculptural collage that explores human history and our relation to the earth. The exhibition comprises site-specific elements: a floor installation of a liquid clay evaporation pool that draws our attention the Earth’s greater water cycle, a large-scale cut paper silhouette with echoes of a primeval forest, a musical composition presented as a sound sculpture activated by visitors, several mounted prose pieces inviting readers down imagined pathways, and a series of short experimental films.
Join us for the opening reception Saturday February 24, 2024, at 5pm. The opening reception includes Intertwine Suite for solo cello, composed and performed by Monica Scott, and a reading by author Sylvia Brownrigg
