Northern California based female-fronted rock band, Mama Said, has a distinctly retro sound inspired by classic rock of the late 70’s/early 80’s, and the classic rock revival of the early 90’s. No loops or samples, just a kick-in-the-ass reminder of how visceral and exhilarating it is to hear hard rocking drums, bass, power chords, and high flying solos–with not one, but two powerhouse female vocalists. Mama Said is power and attitude with an almost timeless sound. This is the New Classic Rock.

Fresh off recording their debut LP Change In The Weather, the band is excited to return to live performance in their home of Napa Valley. Produced and co-written by Jim McGorman (Goo Goo Dolls member, producer for acts including Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, Poison, Weezer, Marc Broussard, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd), Change In The Weather captures the band’s New Classic Rock sound—rooted in the riffs and vocal/guitar goodness that defined the era, but with a modern twist that makes the sound both relevant and alive.
