SENIOR ENVIRONMENT ARTIST – CONTRACT

What We Need:
Visual Concepts Entertainment (2K Sports), the developers of critically acclaimed NBA2K video game franchise is seeking an experienced & self-motivated Senior Environmental Artist to join our talented NBA Team in Novato, California.
What You Will Do:
• Model high and low poly assets for real-time game development
• Collaborate closely between Art departments, Mocap, Engineers and Presentation Producers
• Create textures using Photoshop and Substance Painter/Designer for proprietary game shaders
• Coordinate with production, and possibly outsourcing to review and integrate assets, making fixes/improvements if needed
• Assemble, set dress and maintain environments
• Organize and manage assets and tasks to meet deadline constraints
• Be adaptive and cooperative in a fast-paced, fluid production cycle

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
• 3+ years of experience on commercial game projects or in a related field
• Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience

You Are Proficient With:
• Maya
• Substance Painter/Designer
• Photoshop
• You have knowledge of:
• High to low res model building (transfer)
• PBR material creation
• Lightmap UV creation
• Source control for file management
• Understanding of real-world scale
• Extra Credit
• You are Proficient with:
• Substance Designer
• Zbrush/Mudbox
• Organic Modeling
• Knowledge of Shotgun
