Job Summary:

The Production Designer will contribute to the development and execution of TFE’s wine and spirits packaging, which includes work on large, established brands as well as new product development. Throughout the process, you will work closely with the Sr. Art Director, Marketing Managers and Winery Production Depts to ensure that the creative is innovative, effective and on strategy, not to mention on time and on budget.

Essential Functions:

In your role as Production Designer, you will be expected to do the following:
• Execute a broad range of wine and spirits packaging, including labels and related materials
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ensure that deliverables are completed in an efficient manner—on time and on budget
• Support overall Packaging workflow with Production department
• Maintain a high level of knowledge and skill with software related to design and production
• Manage costs and budgets for outside resources, such as freelance designers, illustrators and calligraphers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Art Director of Packaging

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be bursting with talent, energy and ideas, be able to work self-sufficiently as well as part of a team, and be exceptionally detail-oriented and organized. To be considered, you should have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field or equivalent
• 3+ years design experience at design firms, ad agencies, or in-house creative departments
• Expertise in CC Adobe Illustrator
• In-depth knowledge of printing processes, such as flexo, offset and digital
• Superior typography and layout skills
• Experience building print-ready mechanical files
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
