Art Director

ART DIRECTOR

The Art Director plays a key role in outlier, the creative design studio of OutCast. As an Art Director, you are responsible for proactively collaborating across the team and agency to help clients express their brand vision via design. You demonstrate strong conceptual thinking across a variety of design mediums, helping to shape the art direction for content, develop unique designs, and ensure the feasibility of visual concepts and the fidelity of the final output. Art Directors serve as an integral part of the team as you will closely partner with clients to understand their needs and clearly share their point of view — learning the boundaries of the brand — while pushing against them into new territories.

To be successful, Art Directors should be curious, fearless, and seasoned leaders, demonstrating experience in producing successful work yet constantly exploring and keeping up with current design trends. You need to be able to clearly and concisely express yourself and explain your ideas, collaborating with all levels of designers and strategists. You should be able to quickly grasp the core message of a project and bring it to life, while being able to clearly communicate that to the team and client. Art Directors are expected to elevate and continue pushing the boundaries of outlier’s design and aesthetic. You will need to lead with a hands-on approach, taking initiative to identify needs across multiple teams as well as executing the solutions. You should also be committed to foster the talents of your junior members of your team, mentoring and helping them shape their personal skills and design perspectives. If you are a passionate, motivated, and highly articulate individual who brings self-initiative to projects and inspiration to your teams – then come join us!
