DESCRIPTION
This is a pool of applicants for any substitute, part-time hourly, temporary positions that may become available in Performing Arts at Napa Valley College. Applications submitted to this temporary pool will be screened by the Office of Human Resources for minimum qualifications. These temporary positions are at-will employment.

The job descriptions for each job title are:Box Office Cashier – Conduct ticket sales during operating hours of the Box Office for Performing Arts Center events, including support for patron purchases, ticketing, and transactions. Frequent work requires evenings and weekends.
Front of House Assistant Coordinator – Responsible for patron services and safety related to the Paul Ash Lobby and seating areas in all PAC performing venues. Purchase, manage, and sell concessions, trouble-shoot problems related to patron services, care for special needs patrons; and follow safety precautions to prevent injuries or damages to facilities. This is a temporary, hourly professional assignment.
Front of House Coordinator – Responsible for operations, patron services, and safety related to the Paul Ash Lobby and seating areas in all PAC performing venues. Recruiting, training, and scheduling ushers; purchasing, managing and selling concessions, oversight for seating policies, trouble-shooting and care of special needs patrons; and safety precautions to prevent injuries or damages to facilities. This is a temporary, hourly professional assignment.
Accompanist – The primary objective of this position is to assist faculty in the learning and performance phases of choral and voice classes by providing support services for classroom and individual instruction and keyboard accompaniment.
Music Movement Specialist – Set movement to music repertoire for music events, teach movement to singers/movers where appropriate, and assist with music movement rehearsals.
Performance Musician – Play rehearsals and performances of musical and musical events and concerts; will rehearse the part on their time, but will be required to attend and play rehearsals and performance per production schedule. Music scores (parts) will adjust as needed per production and musical scores.
Production Assistant – Assist with technical operations for the Performing Arts Center and other campus venues, including support for sound, lighting, backstage, set, props, costumes, wardrobe, projection and related production needs. Frequent work required evenings and weekends.
Guest Artist – Perform or create live music, theater, or performance art, or present a lecture of a professional artistic nature, at a professional level of skill and artistic training on par with industry standards
Studio Music Specialist – The Studio Music Specialist works with the faculty of Applied Music (MUSI 116), meeting with students individually coaching them on the specific performance techniques of the specific instrument in which they have expertise.
