Exhibition Dates: May 30 to July 12, 2020

Member Preview:  Thursday, May 28, 6:00-7:00 pm (for members and exhibiting artists)
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 30, 4:00-6:00 pm
Family Art Day: Sunday, June 14, 1:00-3:00 pm

The exhibition will showcase the diverse and innovative approaches artists employ to create 2-D and 3-D art with wax including encaustic, cold wax, cast wax and wax sculpture. Artists are invited to submit original paintings, drawings, sculptures, hand-pulled prints, textile art, fiber art, and installation with wax as a primary element. Entries are open to visual artists internationally.

About the Juror: Sara Post is a nationally recognized abstract painter currently working in oil and water based mixed media. She is a popular workshop leader, teaching mixed media abstraction at art centers across the U.S.  Her paintings are featured in Cold Wax Medium: Techniques, Concepts and Conversations by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin and in the Squeegee Press video series of the same name. She maintains a working and instructional studio, Art 26, in downtown Davis, California.
