Vonsaal design build was established in 2001 and has grown into a multimedia design development firm, including: commercial and luxury residential design, architectural design, branding strategy development, wine label design, and industrial design and fabrication. The Vonsaal design office is combined with a 7000 sq. ft. fabrication studio, enabling us to produce our designed furniture, fixtures and artwork in house with our assembly of talented craftsmen.

This position involves all levels of design production and will include: research, ideation, drafting, technical drawings, material selection, budget management, schedule management, vendor communications, and contractor management. The position may also involve shared project management duties at all levels of assistance in: purchasing, liaison between subcontractors, fabrication management, presentations, furniture plans and communication with the fabrication studio.

We are looking for a teammate who possesses the skills and determination to establish a long lasting career in our company, beginning with supporting the principal’s approach to architecture and interior design. We are a small group but growing rapidly with various articles in media outlets and several new large hospitality and winery projects. The ability to understand a complete set of building drawings, including details, specifications, and schedules for permit approval and construction direction are mandatory. Drawing and developing detailed furniture drawings and shop drawings are primary for this position.

REQUIRED SKILL SET:

Construction Document Experience- the ability to understand a complete set of building drawings details, specifications, and schedules for permit approval and construction
Furniture /cabinet drafting experience (shop drawings)
Microsoft Office Suite, Mac OS Platform, Google apps — calendar, tasks, gmail
Project management skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:

BA or MA in Architecture, Industrial Design or Interior Design
