THE RIGHT FIT:
If you are a talented, creative, and skilled graphic artist who has an interest in wine and education, keep reading. You’re the right person if you can create original designs that are energetic, engaging, and sophisticated while communicating the objective with clarity.
Under direction from our creative leadership, you will be responsible for creating a range of multi-channel graphic assets for our educational products, sales materials, integrated marketing campaigns, online course content, and educational support imagery. Your work will need to be student-focused, education-driven, professional, and engaging!
You are someone who’s not afraid of design challenges, and you love finding creative visual solutions. You also don’t mind doing production work with tight turnarounds, and you can prioritize your assignments to meet deadlines. Additionally, you have a team mentality and like to have fun, which means you can work collaboratively, receive art direction, and share your opinions openly and constructively.
Last but not least, you are an overall delight to be around, self-motivated, fun, open-minded, proud of your work, like wine, and being part of a passionate team, and always ready to learn more.
You’ll be part of a small but mighty design team. We all work remotely, so you’ll need to show incredible self-motivated work ethic and, of course, have access to the internet for zoom meetings, slack messages, and weekly trivia challenges during PST daytime working hours.

THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR TOOL KIT (AKA REQUIREMENTS)
Fluent in Illustrator & Photoshop
Understand and demonstrate the fundamentals of graphic design as it applies to brand, layout, and digital graphic production.
Know how to display data in interesting and easily-digestible ways
Strong collaboration skills are a must, as you will be working closely with the creative director, copywriter, web-master, education team, and more.
Experience with After Effects and/or simple animation software a plus.
Experience with Powerpoint and/or Prezi a plus.
Familiarity and stay up to date with contemporary trends in graphic design.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, work on tight deadlines, and manage your own time.
Strong eye for photography and composition.
It is a must that you are aware there is always more to learn and understand the value of sharing that curiosity and enthusiasm for learning with those around you.
An intermediate level of wine knowledge is required.
Hired team member will be required to complete Diversity, Inclusion & Unconscious bias training within the first 30 days of employment.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
You are capable of generating graphic representations that combine data in the form of creative visual language and iconography.
You utilize the core principles of visual design in all you do—hierarchy/emphasis, typography, color, etc.
You understand basic Human-Centered Design philosophy and are able to contemplate the user experience.
You have experience in and passion for illustration or visual storytelling.
You have experience in education, teaching, or training.
You are familiar with and have created promotional content for web marketing and social media platforms.
You have an interest in the world of wine or, at a minimum, have an appreciation for the passion it brings out in people.
You find creative solutions that people love both emotionally and intellectually.
You have some experience with motion graphics.
