Hello! I’m Luke (he/him), an actor and theater-maker born and raised in St. Helena, ancestral homelands of the Onatsatis (Wappo) people. I studied acting at PCPA Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria, CA, and the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program in Minneapolis, MN, including a semester abroad with Shakespeare’s Globe in London, and a cumulative five years of professional experience in both California and the Twin Cities. Theater companies that I have worked with include PCPA, SLO Rep, Capital Stage, Berkeley Playhouse, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Poltergeist Theatre Project, Town Hall Theatre, Full Circle Theatre, and Open Eye Figure Theatre. Additional artistic skills include percussion, puppetry, circus, playwriting, and directing– the last of which I’m beginning to believe should fade away in favor of collaborative creative processes. I am a strong believer that art–whether serious or silly in nature– should challenge white supremacy culture, and am dedicated to processes that prioritize accessibility. I dream of storytelling that acknowledges our diversity in order to embrace our shared humanity, and recognize that changing the art world does not come without deep self-reflection; I am constantly re-evaluating what it means for me to be an artist, considering the times and the many identities I carry. Stay tuned for an updated website that reflects my evolving values!
