GUILD is a maker space and retail boutique that offers DIY workshops and unique maker led classes, events and parties.
Our newly renovated 1200 square foot studio, located near beautiful downtown Napa, CA, features a workshop area, a retail boutique and a lounge and bar area. The workshop is dedicated to hosting weekly curated classes and DIY workshops. The boutique is an extension of the workshop and features small gift items, DIY kits, art prints and other handcrafted goods such as clothing, jewelry and small personal and home accessories. The lounge and bar can be used during events, workshops and for private parties.
GUILD’s founders are Monica Stickley and Carrie Saxl, who collectively bring to the project four decades of experience in retail, art, design and event planning. After years of bonding over their shared enthusiasm for making things, learning new creative skills and their roles as moms, the idea for GUILD began to take root. What began as a search for a local community maker-workshop and affordable event venue grew into a desire to build the space that they were dreaming of.
GUILD is a place for everyone, from the creatively curious novice to the seasoned artist looking to brush up on old skills or learn something entirely new. It is a coming together of people with similar interests, building community, learning together and having a good time. From weaving and watercolor to block printing and shibori dyeing, we offer a spectrum of classes accessible to all ages and abilities.
