di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art offers visitors refuge to view the art of Northern California in a singularly unique setting. Protected in perpetuity under the Napa County Land Trust, the site features multiple galleries, a sculpture park, and a 35-acre lake, all located on 217 scenic acres in Napa Valley’s famed Carneros region. di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art originated as the vision of Rene di Rosa (1919-2010), a prolific collector whose famed vineyards enabled his development of a world-class art collection. Together with his wife Veronica di Rosa (1934–1991), he used the sale of his vineyards to build an “art park” for the greater public. The organization was incorporated as a nonprofit public trust in 2000. Today di Rosa presents contemporary exhibitions by Bay Area-based artists and an array of educational programs for all ages, in addition to maintaining a permanent collection of notable works by artists living or working in the San Francisco Bay Area from the mid-twentieth century to the present day.

    Kids/Family;  Nonprofit;  Sports/Outdoors
The Napa School of Martial Arts brings affordable, quality martial arts training in after school programs to at-risk and low-income children and teens in Napa County. We are Napa’s only 501(c)(3) nonprofit martial arts school and, since 2011, we have taught martial arts and self-defense techniques as well as life-long lessons about integrity, respect, and hard work, to those who cannot afford the higher prices at for-profit schools.  Our fees are based on a sliding scale dependent on need. All of our instructors are Kukkiwon-certified black belts and do not receive any salaries.  Hwa Rang Kwan was brought to the United States in 1965 by our instructor, Grandmaster D. K. Shin, who still teaches at his own school in Belmont, and has a 1,000-year tradition in Korea.
