Mara Adelman is a retired college professor who is passionate about art. She raises funds for refugees in Greece through the sale and teaching of jewelry (see earringsforpeace.com). She was recently highlighted for her art in Napa Valley Life (see mara4art.com). She transfers her whimsical drawings to ceramics and was a selected artist for the Napa Library card. Her ceramic tiles of this card hangs in the Children’s Library. After 18 years of world travel she transferred her various collections of trinkets, beads, and coins into “found object jewelry.” Her passion is teaching children and adults about jewelry, ceramic drawing, and mosaics. She hopes to do more public art and introduce artists to new mediums for their work. Mara resides in Napa.
